AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER TRAINING ON TEAM RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (TRM) HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT

BHANSA conducted the second part of air traffic controller training on Team Resource Management (TRM), that is based on the program approved by Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA).

It is a three-year TRM training cycle in which air traffic controllers undergo a total of 6 training modules in places located outside the locations of air traffic control units of BHANSA. 

During 2021, the first two training modules were conducted in Vlašić.

Air traffic controllers of BHANSA, 138 of them, participated in this training, in the period November - December 2022, in Neum. This training primarily aims to develop positive attitudes towards teamwork skills and the human factor in air traffic control (ATC), in order to reduce the number of errors related to teamwork within the Air Traffic Management (ATM) system.

Our team of TRM facilitators Almir Konjhodžić, Darko Martinović, Leila Nevesinjac, Radovan Pavić, Sanja Sadiković and Nives Buzaljko chose the topics "communication" and "team roles" for this year, and they encouraged interesting discussions between the participants, which enabled the participants to jointly set goals and to devise strategies that would improve daily teamwork in all air traffic control units of BHANSA.

Including a guidance of TRM coordinator Vedrana Delahmetović, they also had the full support of the Management of BHANSA, as well as support of Safety Office of BHANSA.
