A meeting was held between BHANSA and the Elektroprivreda HZ HB

A meeting was held between BHANSA and the Elektroprivreda HZ HB, at the Main Office in Mostar, on 10th July 2023.

The delegation of BHANSA was led by the director, Mr. Davorin Primorac, and the delegation of the Elektroprivreda HZ HB, Ph.D Drago Bago, Acting General Director.

During the meeting, information was exchanged about the development projects of BHANSA and the Elektroprivreda HZ HB.

BHANSA, among other things, in its Business Plan for the period from 2023-2027 planned the procurement and installation of 3 new secondary surveillance radars in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a precondition for the establishment of approach radar control of the airspace in the units of ATSs, in Mostar, Banja Luka and Tuzla. For JPAKL Mostar, the location Udrič (Planinica) is planned, which provides high-quality radar coverage and where the VHF communication station has already been located, by BHANSA.

The Elektroprivreda HZ HB emphatically implements a policy of development relying on renewable energy sources, and in this sense several significant projects have already been realized, are in progress or are planned. For example, the first wind-powered electricity plant in BiH, at the location of Mesihovina near Tomislavgrad municipality is a project realized by the Elektroprivreda HZ HB. In the wider area of Mostar, the construction of two wind farms is planned at the locations of Planinica and Velika Vlajna. BHANSA analyzed the impact of the construction of the mentioned wind farms on the secondary radar system at the Udrič location, as well as the project of establishing the BHANSA radio relay network, and the aforementioned analysis was presented at the meeting.

After a comprehensive discussion, it was concluded that BHANSA and the Elektroprivreda HZ HB will continue to cooperate on the above-mentioned matter in order to enable BHANSA to provide a radar image for the units of Approach Control Service and Aerodrome Control Service in Mostar and thus enable the improvement of air navigation safety and capacity at the International Airport - Mostar airport. At the same time, there will be no significant changes related to the construction projects of wind farms Planinica and Velika Vlajna.
