The Contract on the Procurement of new BHANSA Meteorological Systems was signed

Davorin Primorac, director of BHANSA and Damir Bule, director of Unis Telekomunikacije d.d. Mostar, signed the Contract on the Procurement of new BHANSA Meteorological Systems, in Banja Luka, on Tuesday May 16th.

After the public procurement has been carried out, Consortium of Unis Telekomunikacije d.d. Mostar and Microstep-MIS Bratislava were chosen as the most favorable bidder for the procurement of new BHANSA meteorological systems. It is a capital project that is part of the modernization of the technical systems of international airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of the project, new Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) and Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS) are procured for international airports in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar, as well as a new prognostic system with the VOLMET system for the Meteorological Watch Office (MWO) of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With the implementation of new systems, the quality of providing meteorological services at international airports as well as meteorological information for en-route operations will be significantly improved, which will provide conditions for increasing air traffic in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the ceremony, the director of BHANSA, Davorin Primorac, emphasized the importance of the signed Contract, which represents only part of the large investments in infrastructure and modernization of technical systems for air traffic management that are planned in all four airports of BiH.

This is the result of many years of successful business cooperation, but also of already proven references in the modernization of technical systems, which confirm rich experience and the unquestionable quality and reliability of high-tech solutions“, said Mr. Damir Bule, director of Unis Telekomunikacije d.d. Mostar.

The signing of the Contract was also attended by representatives of Microstep-MIS Bratislava led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Martin Gazak. Microstep from Bratislava is a company with many years of experience in the field of meteorology and climatology, especially in the field of aviation. The activity of MicroStep-MIS covers the complete process of software and hardware development for meteorological systems, as well as system integration.
