The Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) has achieved a significant milestone in developing its own training capabilities, following the official approval by the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) for the use of new modern simulators in the provision of initial and continuation training for air traffic controllers.
These are next-generation simulation systems with advanced 3D visual displays, enabling realistic simulation of actual operational conditions and ensuring a high level of training quality and reliability in accordance with European and international standards.
The introduction of new simulators places BHANSA among the most technologically advanced air traffic controller training centres and enables further development of its internal professional capacities, as well as the implementation of training programmes within Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The training of the previous generation of air traffic controllers was fully conducted in Mostar in cooperation with a renowned Danish training centre. As a result of this training, BHANSA successfully recruited 22 licensed air traffic controllers during the past year.
With the new simulators approved, BHANSA has created the key conditions for the planned and systematic training of all future generations of controllers, fully independently and within BHANSA’s own capacities.
By continually upgrading its equipment and strengthening its professional resources, BHANSA further confirms its role as a stable and reliable partner within the European air traffic management system.
