A meeting was held on the topic "Managing of route obstacles in Bosnia and Herzegovina"

Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) together with the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) held a meeting with representatives of six cities and municipalities from the area of Herceg-Bosnia County on the topic "Managing of route obstacles in Bosnia and Herzegovina", on the date 24th January 2023.

Besides representatives of BHANSA and BHDCA, the representatives of the municipalities of Bosansko Grahovo, Glamoč, Kupres, Tomislavgrad, the city of Livno, as well as a representative of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Activities and Reconstruction of Herceg-Bosnia County have participated in the meeting.

BHANSA and BHDCA presented what has been done so far regarding the registration and publication of obstacles larger than 100m in the last year, the importance of this data for the safety of civil aviation, and their use for operational purposes. Special attention was also paid to compliance with already existing legal obligations for all entities that build or plan to build such facilities.

Through the discussion, the representatives of the municipalities highlighted their role in the entire chain, and informed the representatives of BHANSA and BHDCA about other entities involved in the process of approving the construction of such facilities.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to establish permanent communication and cooperation on issues of securing data on obstacles and spatial plans to protect certain zones of interest to BHANSA, such as instrument flight procedures and radio-navigation equipment.
