Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) in cooperation with EUROCONTROL held „EAPPRI & EAPPRE Implementation Workshop“ in Sarajevo from 13 to 14 November 2019. The workshop focused on the European Action Plan for the Prevention of Runway Incursions (EAPPRI) and European Action Plan for the Prevention of Runway Excursions (EAPPRE).
The following issues were discussed at the workshop:
- Collaboration on the development of Runway Safety (RWY), which includes the development of European Action Plan for the Prevention of Runway Incursions incursions (EAPPRI) and the Prevention of Runway Incursions incursions (EAPPRI) and European Action Plan for the Prevention of Runway Excursions (EAPPRE), the ICAO Global Runway Safety Programme and the RASG-EUR initiative.
- Efforts to improve RWY safety and good practices, role of the airport, RWY safety from the perspective of aircraft operators, opportunities for improvement, opportunities to improve RWY safety from the perspective of service providers
- RWY Safety in BiH - regulatory requirements, agreements, challenges and achievements, development of a local safety improvement plan of RWY
The workshop was moderated by Mr. Alexander Krastev Runway Safety Coordinator, EUROCONTROL, and presentations were given by Mr. Celso Figueiredo Regional Officer ANS Implementation ICAO, Mr. Dirk Geukens Senior Safety Expert, Brussels Airport Company, Capt. Pascal Kremer Safety Manager at Luxair, Vice Chair of the Flight Safety Foundation EAC, Mr.Antonio Dias safety expert NAV Portugal, Mr.Dejan Mršić ATCO - –OJTI at International Tivat Airport– SMATSA and Mr.Vlado Jurić, Safety Manager of Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency – BHANSA.
